Power of attorney for Khayr al-Nisaʼ's divorce, 1801
Khayr al-Nisaʼ, daughter of Baba Khan the enamel painter, gives power of attorney to Mulla Haj Muhammad. Mulla Haj Muhammad is to divorce her from her husband, Muhammad ʻAli (known as Aqa Baba), the son of Jaʻfar Jilawdar. She forgoes her mahr. The divorce vow was said on April 16, 1801.

The document reads in part:Mir ʻAli al-Baqi has given the power of attorney to divorce his wife, Khayr al-Nisaʼ Baygum (daughter of Mirza Sayyid Mahmud), to Akhund Muhsin of Dar al-ʻIbadah of Yazd; she forgoes her mahr for this divorce. June 21, 1784.
